Your Engagement Shoot

Just the two of you This is an ideal opportunity to have a relaxed photo session with your partner before the wedding, without the pressures of a big occasion. It is also a good way of getting to know me and how we can work together, and you’ll have some fabulous, natural portraits as a result. The pictures make great gifts, particularly for parents.

At ease with the camera: Many couples find the session helps them feel more at ease with the camera, especially if the last time they had their portrait taken was for a school photo. Most people who’ve had an engagement photo session are more relaxed having their pictures taken on the wedding day and this really comes through in the resulting photos.

How it works

The sessions are fun and light-hearted, usually involving a stroll through a local park or beauty spot, or at a location that is important to you. There’s no fixed formula and I’ve often taken people’s portraits with their favourite cars or pets. After the photos we can go for a coffee or a beer to chat through what worked and what didn’t. The pictures on this page were shot during a walk around Woodbridge riverside and show how a variety of shots can be taken in a short space of time.

Pricing and prints

Some of our wedding photography packages include a complimentary engagement session. Otherwise, the cost of £185 includes selected photos (3 large 12”x8” prints, 6 medium 9”x6” prints and 12 standard 6”x4” prints) and you can of course add an album and extra prints. We’ll also mount one of your pictures for you to sign and give as gifts, or put them in a signing book for the wedding day.
